The bandh has been called by Andhra Pradesh Pratyeka Hoda Saadhana Samiti.
The opposition functions such as the YSR Congress (YSRC), Congress and the Remaining functions have extended support to the shutdown connect with, but the ruling TDP has opposed it.
Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu reported bandhs ended up not welcome as they hamper development.
Reacting to this, the YSRC accused the Chief Minister of adopting ‘double standards’.
“When Naidu was the opposition leader, he had called for bandhs on numerous events, but as a Chief Minister he is now opposing them (bandhs), declaring they hinder development,” YSRC political affairs committee member Ambati Rambabu reported.
He reported Mr Naidu really should realize that bandh was a type of a democratic protest and he had no correct to oppose it.
He alleged that the government has been issuing notices to these supporting the bandh, declaring circumstances would be booked against them.
“Why this intimidation? As long as they are peaceful, we will continue on all varieties of democratic protests,” Mr Rambabu additional.
