Jammu-Kashmir: Six terrorists attack BSF post in Samba

An armed terrorist, along with 5 others, attacked a BSF post on the international border on the Indian side and was injured when BSF troops foiled the infiltration bid in Samba sector.

They fire 2 RPG shells over it with points. The attack happened at around 1.55 am, Official sources said. Reached near the international border at Bobiyan and fired on a BSF post with automatic weapons. when a bunch of six terrorists, taking advantage of undulating ground and thick wild growth on Pakistan side.

The area was light with the firing of an illumination bomb and BSF troops saw the fleeing terrorists carrying an injured person, sources added . The BSF troops located the terrorists in wild growth and instantly organized a “coordinated fire” forcing the terrorists to come to the Pakistan side.

The exchange of fire happened from 1105 hours till 1205 hours. There was semi-automatic fire reportedly changed between Border Observatory Post Bobiya, manned by 173 Battalion BSF, and Pakistan post Chak Timber manned by twenty four battalion Pak Rangers.

Ever since Bharat carried out surgical strikes across the line of control causing sufficient injury to terrorists, this has been the primary incident of terrorists attacking a BSF naka on the international border in a bid to sneak into the Indian side.
