Insight About the Movie :
Directed by Aniruddha Roy Chowdhury and produced by filmmaker Shoojit Sircar, Pink tackles the stigma of sexual assault, crimes against women and consent. In the film, actresses Taapsee Pannu, Kirti Kulhar and Andrea Tariang play three young women who face assault charges after being molested by a group of men.
The courtroom drama, in which Amitabh Bachchan plays their lawyer, garnered acclaim for the way it dealt with the idea of consent and its place in the Indian society. The film released on September 16 and enjoyed widespread word-of-mouth popularity, raking in over Rs 65 crore at the box office.
