Farmer Dies After Being Allegedly Assaulted By Police In Maharashtra's Latur

Mumbai:  A 60-year-old farmer has died allegedly following remaining crushed up by a head constable in Latur district of Maharashtra, police explained.

Pandurang Martand, who hails from Chichondi village in Nilanga tehsil of the district, was allegedly assaulted by head constable Namdeo Koli at a state transport bus depot, an formal explained.

Mr Koli (58) punched Martand, a farmer by career, with his arms and feet, leaving him injured. The victim went dwelling following the incident and was less than healthcare treatment method, he explained.

On March 12, he succumbed to accidents, his son Ram Martand (30) explained in a grievance lodged with the police in the district, all-around 500km from Mumbai.
